Creating interactive tours
Content creation, sales tool and tour statistics
As with all content driven platform, what the consumer sees is only one part of the equation. At StoryHunt we had the goal, that creating tours for the app should be easy, fast and intuitive, so that even creators with minimal technical knowledge could bring their tours to life.
Special attention was given to tour guides. We wanted it to be easy for them to translate their physical guided tours to an app experience. A platform for them to reach an audience that would enjoy their stories, but didn't want to be in a tour group.
To effectively navigate these challenges, we conducted extensive research on similar map-based solutions and interviews with our content creators. This helped us identify user expectations, pain points, and potential pitfalls.
From this research, we generated a broad range of user stories covering all relevant use cases, which informed our design of the experience.

We prioritized an intuitive dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of users' work. Our goal was a seamless user experience, with a user-friendly interface presenting essential options from tour creation, statistics, project management, to settings and billing details.
A significant challenge was the tour creation workflow, which required an optimal navigation system for stories and the associated presentation page.
We also carefully integrated features like primary and secondary media, quizzes, and routes between stories, all contributing to a streamlined and engaging user experience.
Later we enriched the experience, by offering AI tools to help in all facets of tour creation. turns out, that most tour guides are good at performing in front of a crowd, but bad at writing manuscripts, choosing photos and even voicing their own tour. The skills that make you a fantastic tour guide are different from the skills needed to create digital content.
